Dexter came to mind today as I listened to some music he recorded for another show. It has honestly been years since I’ve thought of him, but hearing his voice brought me back to the rehearsal where I first met him. He was such a talent, and I was intimidated by that talent. This is a lovely tribute to his memory.

Wow – I can’t believe it’s been that long. What a beautiful tribute! I still remember getting the phone call, and hoping it was all a really bad joke. There are so many good memories, both from ENC and after we’d graduated. We were singing together the night I met my husband. I still miss him and think of him often. Thanks so much for this post!

I’m with Ev Jones in suggesting you try it again. I’ve been going there for ten years now and I love everything about that place (especially the haddock chowder, lol). I prefer a crispier crust, so I ask them to cook it a little longer; they are always happy to oblige. And John is right, it’s not a frozen crust.

A recent update. Some of the best food in Portland. Atmosphere on 2nd floor is awesome. Very spacious unlike many small portland dining places. Nice variety to apps,entrees and desserts. You will not find a better roast chicken in Portland (molasses+lemon). Scallops also superb.

Now I realise this was a long time ago but what’s the point of putting pictures of the best and most gorgeous paper peonies the world has ever seen on the internet without showing us the shape you used to make your petals?!? I would love to emulate your flowers for a table centre piece – please show a picture of the shape you used to cut your petals!
